Dog Grooming Career Classes Start September 8th (2015)

Another excited group of soon to be dog and (cat) grooming professionals arrive at Pucci Pet Career Studios in September.

Orientation day is always one of my favorite days at Pucci Pet Career Studios. Who doesn't love beginnings? Dressed in crispy new Pucci Stylist gear, carrying a bag of shiny shears, brushes, trimmers, and a stack of fresh, yet unread books, Pucci Tier 0ne students are geared up and ready to start training. They are contagious with enthusiasm, anticipation and pride.

Loving dogs is a requirement to pursuing a career in pet grooming. But not every dog lover is a good fit for pet stylist training. Potential Pucci students shadow and observe training is session. They assist with bathing and are invited to demonstrations. They are interviewed, their questions answered in detail. All this before being accepted for enrollment.

The Pucci student is more than a dog lover, he/she demonstrates patience, artistic style, communication and handling skills. Beyond valuing natural talent and ability we (at Pucci) evaluate potential students for their desire and readiness to learn.

It will soon be fall, by early spring, this same novice group of Pucci students will become confident, accomplished professionals. In a few short months, I will award each (now) Canine Design Specialist a diploma sealed with the Pucci golden paw. We will share tears, congratulations and hugs for perhaps the last time as we launch them on their career paths in the dog grooming industry.
